Pune asks a simple question every year: which data science course is worth it? The 2026 answer starts with verified fees, not brochures.
The fee map: classroom programs in Deccan and FC Road charge ₹35,000 to ₹80,000 for 5 to 6 month data science courses. Premium institutes in Baner and Kharadi, close to the IT parks, run ₹1,00,000 to ₹3,99,000 with placement add-ons. Online live programs sit between ₹60,000 and ₹2,00,000.
What the fee buys: at the low end you get recorded lectures and a lab. Mid-range buys live classes and projects. The top of the range buys brand certificates, career services and interview pipelines.
Pune's hiring market: Kharadi, Hinjewadi and Magarpatta host product companies, banks and GCCs hiring data scientists and analysts. Freshers break in through analyst roles; career switchers with domain experience break in through analytics roles in their own industry.
The format decision: Kharadi's working crowd increasingly picks online live programs for weekday flexibility, while freshers still benefit from classroom discipline in Deccan batches.
The honest math: the course fee is the smallest number in the decision. Twelve months of your career is the big number. Pick the program with evidence of outcomes — audited placement lists, alumni you can call, and teaching you can trial for free.
