SkillGorila Learning Pvt. Ltd. ("SkillGorila", "we", "us") is an online IT, SAP and data career training platform based in Bengaluru, India. 2. Data We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored as a one-way hash), and profile details you choose to add.
• Lead-form & contact data: details you submit through enquiry, callback, brochure-download, recruiter or enrolment forms — such as your name, phone number, email, education, work experience and program of interest.
• Learning & enrolment data: batch allocations, attendance, assignments, projects, assessments and certificate records.
• Usage data: pages visited, sessions, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with emails we send you.
• Cookies: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without essential cookies.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account and deliver the courses, batches and services you enrol in.
• To respond to enquiries, schedule callbacks, share program details and process enrolments, payments and refunds.
• To issue certificates, provide placement assistance and share relevant job opportunities.
• To send transactional messages (batch schedules, session links, invoices) and — only where you have opted in — marketing updates about new programs and batches. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
• To improve our curriculum, website experience and support quality, and to meet legal obligations.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

• Hiring partners: only with your explicit consent — when you opt in to placement assistance or profile sharing, we share your profile (name, education, skills, project work and certifications) with consented hiring partners for recruitment purposes.
• Service providers: trusted vendors who process data on our behalf under contract — e.g. payment gateways, cloud hosting, email/SMS delivery, video conferencing and analytics tools.
• Legal & compliance: where disclosure is required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of SkillGorila, our learners or the public.

5. How We Protect Your Data

• All traffic to and from the Platform is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
• Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing — never in plain text.
• Access to personal data is restricted to trained team members who need it to perform their roles, under confidentiality obligations.
• We use firewalls, access controls and monitoring on our infrastructure, and review our security practices regularly.

6. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above: account and learning records are retained while your account is active and for up to five (5) years after your last enrolment (to honour certificates, placement references and legal/tax requirements); lead-form data is retained for up to two (2) years if you do not enrol; marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw marketing consent, and object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@skillgorila.com from your registered email address. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. Please note we may retain certain records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. invoices, tax records).

8. Grievance Officer

If you have a grievance or complaint about the handling of your personal data, you may contact our Grievance Officer, Priya Nair, at privacy@skillgorila.com or by post to SkillGorila Learning Pvt. Ltd., HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102, India. We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days of receipt.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is intended for learners aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@skillgorila.com and we will delete such data promptly. Learners aged 16–18 require verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, as described in our Terms of Use.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services or applicable law. The "Last updated" date above shows when the latest version took effect, and material changes will be highlighted on the Platform or notified by email to registered learners. Your continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
